St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations 2020

For years Fortune of War has been named one of the top selling Guinness bars in Australia and commended for the quality of its Guinness. It comes as no surprise that the St. Patrick’s Day weekend will be one of the biggest celebrations of the year at Sydney’s Oldest Pub – 5 days of non-stop Irishness!
Join the team at The Rocks for a weekend full of Guinness, Irish food specials including Colcannon Croquettes and Guinness Gravy Bangers & Mash*, and live entertainment every day:

Lunar New Year 2020
In celebration of the Lunar New Year on 25th January, The Rocks will once again become an ocean of Asian street food, scents and colours from 30th January until 9th February.
What better excuse to visit the First Fleet Bistro inside Fortune of War and indulge in one (or all) of three flavoursome food specials. Start with Honey Soy Wings ($14) and Szechuan Pepper & Chinese Five-Spice Squid ($16) – perfect for sharing – before digging into Char Siu Pork Neck with steamed Bok Choy ($25).

Australia Day 2020
On Sunday 26th January we are taking over First Fleet Park in The Rocks. Let us take care of all your drinks needs while being fed finest Aussie meats by BlackBear BBQ. With live entertainment throughout the day as well as a fireworks display at 9pm – could there be any better way to spend Australia Day?

New Year’s Eve 2019
General Admission – Main Bar
Join us at the Fortune of War in the heart of the action just moments from the Sydney Harbour fireworks display in The Rocks, for an unforgettable night of live music, delicious food, and good times. Your favourite artists are returning for the ultimate New Year’s Eve celebration. With Ted Nash from 3-7pm, and Dan Mullins from 8pm-midnight, they’ll be singing your favourite covers, requests, and singalongs.
General Admission tickets for the (standing) event in the main bar of Fortune of War are $25pp and include a complimentary schooner of tap beer or a glass of sparkling on arrival, guaranteed entry to The Rocks precinct, and priority entry to Fortune of War (subject to venue capacity & RSA). The front bar section of Fortune of War is a strict 18+ only area.
Sit-Down Dinner – First Fleet Bistro
Join us in Fortune of War’s First Fleet Bistro on New Year’s Eve and enjoy Head Chef Ana Shea’s phenomenal dinner menu. Choose between a $55pp two course menu which includes shared starters and a choice of main per person, guaranteed entry into The Rocks and Fortune of War, and a glass of sparkling on arrival, or a $70pp three course menu which additionally includes a choice of dessert per person. Bookings are for a period of 2hrs and your table might be required back for the next booking afterwards however you are welcome to remain inside Fortune of War after your reservation if venue capacity allows. No underage patrons are allowed in First Fleet Bistro after 9pm on New Year’s Eve.
