Welcome in the New Year with us at Fortune of War! Celebrate the end of 2017 and the start of 2018 with cold beer, delicious food, good music, and good times!
Event Details
Fortune of War will be open all day until late on New Years Eve 2017 (from 9am), offering a great selection of local beers and Australian wines! Our full food menu will be available in First Fleet Bistro throughout the day, and a delicious snack menu will be available at the bar.
Enjoy live music all afternoon and into the evening, with Glenn Esmond 3-7pm and Peter Gabriellides 8pm-midnight.
General Admission Ticket $20pp
– Complimentary drink on arrival (schooner tap beer or glass house wine)
– Priority entry to the venue ^
– Entry to The Rocks Precinct after gates close *
Bistro Dining Reservations
– Reservations available for groups of 1 – 8 for both lunch and dinner
– Access to bar areas before / after your reservation time
– Entry to The Rocks Precinct after gates close *
– Children welcome in Bistro area (under direct supervision of responsible adult)
– credit card required to secure reservation – it is NOT charged at the time of booking, it is held as security against cancellation/no-show. Fortune of War reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of $20pp should your booking party not arrive, significantly decrease in numbers, or cancel within 24 hours.
Please note walk in customers will be welcomed throughout the day to both bar and bistro areas. As the venue reaches capacity, priority entry will be given to those with pre-purchased tickets and reservations ^.

To plan your night, visit sydneynewyearseve.com/transport as there are road closures and changes to public transport. Arrive early to ensure your spot!
Access to The Rocks Precinct via the gate on the corner of Alfred & George Streets (near the Four Seasons Hotel).
Getting to Fortune of War
* Access to The Rocks Precinct and therefore our venue will be restricted when the public vantage points reach capacity (typically in the early evening). To reach our venue when public access gates are closed, proceed to the ticket booth outside the Four Seasons Hotel on George Street to present your pre-purchased venue ticket and gain access. Please note that whilst it is not expected, at any time Police can close access to all people (even those with tickets) if there are concerns for public safety or security which is out of our control.
^ Fortune of War practices the Responsible Service of Alcohol. Management reserve all rights to evict or refuse entry based on behaviour, intoxication, or attire. Minors permitted in First Fleet Bistro under direct supervision of responsible adult from 12noon – 9pm only.
