Vivid Sydney, the world’s largest festival of light, music and ideas, returns with its biggest and most interactive program ever returns in 2015.

Explore the magical Vivid Light Walk starting with BeatDice, where you can be the DJ using a series of cubes that lights up and grooves when re-arranged. Affinity uses Intel Galileo boards to reproduce the neurons and synapses that make our brains work. Further along, a giant Rococo pig called Entitle is yet another one of Vivid 2015’s ‘big things’ to make a statement. Cadmans Cottage is the centre of attention for INTER/Play, the Light Walk’s biggest multi-player experience. In Kendall Lane, a tiny cobblestone laneway in The Rocks, The Dresses appear as a ghostly apparition created by fibre-optics while the Argyle Cut is the dramatic setting for Life Story created by BBC Earth.

Don’t miss The Rocks Vivid Night Markets where you can shop under the stars at an eclectic range of specialty stalls. Grab something to fill your tummy, take home something delicious and shop for head-turning original fashion, jewellery, arts, crafts and homewares. Be entertained by live music and roving performers, and then wander along the harbour foreshore east to the Opera House or west to Walsh Bay to discover more than 50 ever-changing light art installations as part of the Vivid Light Walk. The Rocks is also one of the best places to take in the Lighting of the Sails.
